The 458 Challenge succeeded the F430 Challenge as a track only variant of the road car. The fifth evolution of the Challenge series, the 458 Challenge marks the last naturally aspirated mid-engine V8 Ferrari race car.

Founded in 1993 with the intention of introducing more Ferrari customers to racing, the series offered customers the ability to compete in a car very similar to the production road cars they may already own. Powered by the same 570hp 4.5L V8, it is mated to a reworked version of the production car 7-speed dual-clutch paddle shift gearbox with altered gear ratios to provide greater low down torque.

Extensive use of Carbon Fibre helps to reduce weight. The brakes were upgraded to larger Brembo Carbon-Ceramic discs and the ABS system from the 599XX. ‘The 458 is a brilliantly balanced car and so rewarding to drive’ – Current owner.
2014 saw the launch of the ‘Evoluzione’ Package, a host of updates and upgrades for new and existing 458 Challenge cars. Whilst there were no changes to the engine or gearbox, Ferrari had been to great lengths to redevelop the aerodynamics package for the car. The Evo package adds a revised rear bumper, rear diffuser, rear spoiler as well as an improved front bumper and splitter with knowledge gained from the 458 GT3 cars.
This example was the 2016 Ferrari Trofeo Pirelli AM European and World Championship winning car. Maintained and prepared by FF Corse, this car dominated the 2016 championship setting fastest laps and race wins at Monza, Mugello, Le Mans, Hockenheim, Jerez and Daytona.

The car was also successful prior to 2016 where it won the majority of races entered including a great victory in 2015 at Silverstone Ferrari Racing days, qualifying on pole in front of the Pro driven cars and then taking the outright race win.

Presented in Giallo Triplo Strato, this fiercely competitive 458 Challenge Evo has covered 15,500 km from new, is on the button and ready to race. Eligible for a number of events, it would be a definite front runner in the new and exciting Ferrari Series for Challenge cars. Track time aplenty on offer from the Challenge & GT days at the Red Bull Ring and other series including Global Endurance Legends. For the more serious GT racers, the car would also be eligible for Britcar and GT Cup. It is available at our showrooms outside London to view immediately.
