Proud to show the 458 GT2 ex AF Corse Ferrari at the FoS. Pictures and reports are following 🙂

The chief element in Goodwood’s celebration of Ferrari’s 70^th anniversary at this summer’s Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard, will of course be a mouth-watering array of more than 35 significant competition cars from the legendary Maranello marque, including grand prix and sportscar endurance racers, in addition to a number of glorious Ferrari road-going models.

Important competition Ferrari models from Ferrari’s long, continuous and hugely successful motor racing history will include around 25 iconic single-seater Ferraris, covering each of the key post-war Grand Prix eras. Highlights that we will see in action on the Hill will include a 1948 166, 1952 375 ‘Grant Piston Ring Special’, a 1961 156 ‘Sharknose’, 1965 1512, 1974 312 B3, 1980 312 T5, 1984 126 C4/M2, 1990 641, 1995 412 T2, 2002 F2002, the F2007, and the current Scuderia Ferrari F1 team, not forgetting a pair of the Ferrari-powered, Lancia D50s.

In addition, Ferrari sportscars in action at FOS will also chart the marque’s landmark successes in all the great endurance races, from the 1947 125 S, via a 1950 166 MM Barchetta, 1958 250 TR58, iconic 1962 250 GTO, 1971 365 GTB/LM, 1979 512 BB/LM, right through to the 1993 F40 LM and 458 GT2.

Away from Maranello’s historic competition machinery, an exciting line-up of current Ferrari production cars will grace the Michelin Supercar Paddock and run on the hill, while on a more tranquil note, a dedicated class of Ferrari’s legendary 250 models will form part of the popular Cartier ‘Style et Luxe’ Concours classes.

Car is Black now as it won the Championship in 2013

History:

Originally the car was white, special ordered with the brightest white leather interior, carpeting. Not Crema. (ala Miami Vice Testorossa) for the owner of World Wide Motors in Rockland County NY.
Comes with original super white door panels and center console. Lots of the original parts also, too many to list.

Car delivered to Wide World of Motors, Spring Valley NY with incorrect Cyl heads (348). car sent back to Ferrari Italy for engine “correction” Then proceeded to win in the Challenge series.

This car is unrestored 100% race patina from years of Challenge Racing, no leather smell here just the pheromones of Champions. This may be the last un molested true race car from that era. Ready for a Museum or continue on with gentleman racing.

Car has been and continues to be titled, street registered in the USA (California Title). One of the original 32 to still fly it’s true colors as intended.

Car is a blast to drive, I still take it to the track stretching its legs as intended by Ferrari. an occasional street drive to special events locally.

2007 Ferrari 430 Challenge Chassis number: 146686

Started life in the hands of an Italian team and competed in the Ferrari Challenge series in 2007. Post it’s arrival in the UK FF Corse ran the car in the 2010 Ferrari F430 Challenge, achieving a win at Knockhill on June 27th. The car was then sold and run by Graham Reeder.
Bob Houghton then purchased this car for his own track day only use, changed the clutch and did a full service on the car and did did 162 miles at Donington, 243 miles at Ascari and 186 at Silverstone.

146686 comes complete with the steel brakes, updated aero and ECU’s, V-Box data logger and two sets of 19″ wheels, has had no major accidents and is ready to go.
