I dont think people understand what is required to make it road legal, its a peice of metal with a number on it, that doesn't make the complete package "a thing", its just a number that for uk certification needs type approval, using a road legal type approved number instead is what is needed to get it on the road.

otherwise you would need to send it to VOSA for type approval, same as a car manufacturer does, would cost you millions.
