Let's try: early 355CH were sold as street legal cars, and then converted to Challenge cars by local dealers, like the 348CH cars. The dealer fitted the entire factory provided Challenge equipment set (cage, brakes, fire extinction, seat etc) into the road legal 355 car. Once the cage has been installed, the cars were no longer street legal (there used to be stickers on the cage that the car must not be driven on the street with the cage). These cars have „normal“ VINs and after removing the cage (and other Challenge parts depending on local regulations), the car could be used on the street again.
Some later 355CH were factory built, and I’m not aware whether/when/how these got a street legal status. Somebody may tell us.

360CH cars were all factory built as Challenge cars de novo, and primarily not street legal. There are a handful of 360CH that are now being road going. The same applies for 430CH cars.
