You are sure the produced number is 300?

F-registry lists about 300 360CH cars - their list may be incomplete, but 300 seems a good starting point for an estimate - could be 350, but rather not 500.

slightly more than 288GTO, 4 times less than F40..., mostly similar to the F50 production numbers...

Agree, but F40, F50 are unique cars, 360 CH is a "modified" version of a 360.

Well, the 360CH were factory built and not uprated 360 street cars, unlike the 348CH and the early 355CH. but, of course, they were not de novo creations like the 288 or the F40, but purpose built race cars.
- would you consider a 360N-GT also a "modified" version of a 360 :-)... (anyway, these are indeed rare...)

btw: the production number of 355CH seems comparable according to F-register.

coming back to this, I've just noticed that the French online Ferrari-Forum Ferrarista lists the Challenge cars together with exactly the 288, F40 etc series its subgroup links:
https://www.theferrarista.com/forum-ferrari/
not to say that this means a lot, but just a funny finding!

BTW: I propose to add Challenge cars as a particular line on the wikipedia links e.g. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrari "Zeitleiste". There one could introduce a line above the "Rennwagen". That would probably be a good step into the right direction. I'm just short of time for doing it - probably some from this forum could do it.
