Estimate is 140-160.000 $

Introduced at the 2005 Frankfurt Motor Show, the track-ready Ferrari F430 Challenge was produced to succeed the F360 Challenge in the Ferrari Challenge and Rolex Sports Car Racing Series. The F430 Challenge shares its 483 hp aluminum V-8 with the F430 Scuderia road car. Its six-speed semiautomatic gearbox was derived from Ferrari’s Formula 1 program. Modified for racing by reducing weight and by adding a full roll cage, onboard jacking system, carbon ceramic brakes, single-center-lug BBS wheels, modified suspension and exhaust, the F430 Challenge’s curb weight is just 2,700 pounds. This F430 Challenge is one of 142 produced and, according to the accompanying manufacturer’s statement of origin, was imported by Barchetta Red Inc. of Glen Cove, New York. The car carries its original engine, as listed on the MSO, and presents well, showing only minor cosmetic blemishes consistent with its odometer reading of approximately 2,500 miles. The Ferrari is believed by the consignor to retain the majority of its factory paint finish. Exotic Motors Midwest recently performed a full service and the consignor states that the F430 starts instantly, revs freely, pulls strong, and shifts with precision. This Ferrari F430 Challenge represents a rare opportunity to own an unmodified, factory-built Ferrari racing car and stands to provide exhilarating high-speed adventure for those inclined to exercise it in its native habitat.
