In 1995 Ferrari introduced a race-ready F355 Challenge model for use specifically in the Ferrari Challenge race series. The model was developed by starting with a standard Ferrari F355 Berlinetta and modifying it with a factory-to-dealer supplied kit

The initial 1995 cars came with factory fitted cage mounts and without carpets. Each year, the cars arrived with more and more factory fitted race parts, culminating in 1998 with full-evolution cars. It is believed 109 cars were constructed

This left hand drive European F355 Challenge was first registered in Italy on 29th September 1996 finished in Rosso Corsa coachwork

Acquired by the current owner in 2015, this example shows an odometer reading of 51,000 kms and is currently road registered in Monaco
Presented in excellent condition throughout, the roll cage has been removed and a black leather road interior is fitted, this Challenge is also fitted with an Alpine CD player

The last service and cambelt change was completed in Italy by service agent Mariotti Daniele in November 2015 (49,962 kms)

An excellent example of 90s icon, the ‘Challenge Stradale’ will be supplied to the next owner with fresh service and new cambelts

Why Have We Been Ignoring The Ferrari 348 Challenge?

When a buddy of yours picks up a new car, it’s a big deal. The second you get the call, you head over to their house to inspect the goods. Kick the tires. Flex its muscles. The other day, my pal Matt Ivanhoe picked up a really special car from our friends at RM Auctions just around the corner from our offices in Culver City. Naturally, I made him wake up at the crack of dawn the next morning, drive to Malibu to photograph it, and hear a bit about the story behind the often overlooked 348 Challenge.
