Marketed between 1994 and 1999 the F355 is a profound evolution of the Ferrari 348. A version called “Challenge” was created specifically for the destination of the F355 Challenge mono-brand championship . Very rare, this version was built in only 109 examples, of which some were registered. Although equipped with an engine identical to that of the versions of the series, the F355 Challenge possesses particularities intended for use in competition, such as a specific exhaust, more direct steering, a lowered base, a strengthened chassis and clutch, a roll-safety cage, a fire extinguisher, a circuit breaker, rims in a specific magnesium and oversized brakes from the F40 LM.

Its V8 of 3.5 L and 380 HP (279 kW) to 8,250 rpm (maximum speed to 8,500 rpm) is also the first engine of the mark to have 5 valves per cylinder, which also explains its name: 355 for 3.5 litres of displacement, and 5 for the number of valves per cylinder. The engine develops a torque of 37 Mkg to 6,000 rpm, and propels the 1,350 kg of the F355 from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds, allowing it to reach a peak speed of 295 km/h. This version was popularized by the video game F355 Challenge.

The proposed model is one of the very few to benefit from road verification.
